Three & Samaritans: Keeping people connected at UK Music Festivals
Three is a proud partner of Samaritans, working together to promote better mental health and Samaritans’ services, so people feel inspired and empowered to reach out, connect, and have meaningful conversations.
As the Official Connectivity Partner of some of the UK’s largest music festivals, we’re excited to be supporting Festival Samaritans at events we are both at like Latitude, Reading, and Leeds.
What do Festival Samaritans do?
Festival Samaritans attend around twenty festivals each year, offering free emotional support and a safe space to anyone who needs it. Their services are available in-person, day or night, all you have to do is visit the Samaritans tent.
Why are Samaritans needed at festivals?
At events where thousands of people are having a great time, there are inevitably some who are not. Sometimes the contrast of happy crowds can amplify personal challenges; for others, unexpected events can trigger difficult feelings.
Festival Samaritans provide a 24/7, non-judgemental, face-to-face listening service where anyone can talk about what’s on their mind, no matter the issue. Every conversation and every person is listened to without judgement or pressure by a trained volunteer.
How does Three support Festival Samaritans?
Three supports Festival Samaritans by providing reliable connectivity services throughout the festival weekend. From portable battery-powered Wi-Fi devices, to free pre-loaded SIM cards and power banks, we help keep Festival Samaritans volunteers connected with each other.
